Bringing your life story to the courts.
An immigration psychological evaluation assesses the psychological state of an individual to assist the courts in determining whether they may remain in the United States lawfully. These evaluations are detailed, clinically rigorous documents — and the right evaluator can make all the difference.
Shae Ivie-Williams is a psychotherapist with over 10 years of experience providing compelling, richly written evaluations that bring life to each individual's story and strengthen their case.

Asylum
For individuals who have fled their home country and fear returning due to membership in a targeted social group. This assessment documents the psychological impact of that fear and persecution.
Social groups may include: ethnicity, nationality, religion, sexual orientation/gender expression, or political views.
Violence Against Women Act
For non-citizen spouses and children who have suffered abuse or extreme cruelty at the hands of a U.S. Citizen or permanent resident. This evaluation assesses for signs of domestic violence and trauma-related symptoms.

For immigrants who are victims of certain crimes, assisting law enforcement in prosecution while protecting the victim. This evaluation documents psychological impact and trauma resulting from the crime.
Qualifying crimes include: trafficking, domestic violence, assault, extortion, stalking, false imprisonment, and more.
T Visa
For certain victims of human trafficking and their immediate family members, allowing them to remain and work temporarily in the United States. Typically requires cooperation with law enforcement in the investigation or prosecution of the crime.
